TDP National President and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is strongly in favour of a pro-Congress front in national politicis in order to defeat the Modi government. But Telangana CM and TRS Chief Chandrasekhara Rao is talking about a third front under the name of Federal Front to unite regional parties and oppose monopoly of national level parties like Congress and BJP.
Naidu said such efforts to form an alternative third front would only help the BJP all over the country by dividing the anti-Modi vote banks and there is possibility only for two groupings which are for and against the BJP right now. CBN is indirectly referring to the Telangana early elections in which the TRS party was accused of having secret understandings with the BJP while getting open support from the YSR Congress Party and Pawan Kalyan.
It has been the strongest argument of TDP that the Modi government should be ousted in 2019 for all the misdeeds it had done to undermine and crush the national institutions like the CBI and the RBI only to trouble political opponents. Naidu appealed to the party leaders to get prepared for any eventuality with regard to the 2019 general elections. There may be advanced polls and there may be new political challenges.
CBN has said their party will announce tickets to contesting candidates quite early for the next elections and efforts will be made to win all the 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in AP.
