It is the season of biopics in all the film industries of India. The trend of biopics started in Hindi long back and biopics of Milka singh, Mary Kom etc became blockbusters in bollywood. Now the latest sensational news is that Kangana Ranaut is making her own biopic. It came as surprise for two reasons. One, heroines of her age usually will not let their life be celluloidized. Second, she is going to direct her own biopic, which shocked many.
Kangana recently released “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” in which she not only acted the role of Jhansi Rani, but also co-directed the movie after Krish left the project. Manikarnika, though started on low note, went on to become a good hit. Now with the boost she got after Manikarnika hit, Kangana all set to start her next project as director and she announced the project now.
‘Ek Niranjan’ heroine’s next project will be her own biopic and currently Bahubali writer, Vijayendra Prasad, who also provided script for Manikarnika is working on the script of Kangana biopic. She told, ” Characters of this biopic are not starkly black and white, rather it is a sincere, heartfelt account of my journey so far with plenty of lighter moments.” Even though she told her biopic is full of lighter moments, there will be lot of curiosity given the fact that she has lot of controversies in her life, including her brief association with Hrithik Roshan.
We will have to wait and see how will be the biopic of this 3 times national award winning actress.
