Funny as it may sound, PVP’s fate at the Box Office will depend on Pawan Kalyan. No, PVP Cinema is not associated with PK’s ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh’. Let us explain the matter.
PVP’s ‘Oopiri‘ has received a superb word of mouth and positive appreciation from critics. The movie’s revenue however, is not up to the mark. The slow start is partially to blame and the film did very good business over the weekend. In the US, the film will have a phenomenal run but it is the local markets that has PVP worried.
The movie was sold for high prices and for the investment to be recovered, the film needs a good run at the Box Office. If Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ comes in as promised on the 8th, the film may take a hit. However, if Pawan’s film is pushed by a week or so, it will give ‘Oopiri’ the much needed breathing space (pun intended) to recover money because of the summer holidays.
