Andhra Pradesh Congress today took strong exception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s comments on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh that was taken up to carve out Telangana in 2014. APCC chief N Raghuvira Reddy said PM Modi should not have stooped down so low to comment that the division was not done scientifically, after 16 months in government.

Yesterday, laying the foundation stone for the new capital city Amaravati, Prime Minister remarked that the division was done in haste and was not a scientifically approached. Leading a protest, Raghuvira Reddy asked if the division was not scientific, then BJP should have opposed the Telangana bill.

” If the division was defective, why has the NDA government been silent on it for the past one and half year. All the three leaders, Modi, Venkaiah Naidu and Chandrababu Naidu have cheated the state. He might have survived in Andhra Pradesh, but the people of Bihar will soon expose Modi thoroughly,” he said.

Raghuvira said the Congress knew how to get the special status of Andhra Pradesh and added that people would not forget Modi’s electoral promises and how he had ditched them in Andhra Pradesh.
