Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that his government had to work hard to rebuild the trust of the Singapore government, which was significantly shaken due to the alleged negligence of the previous YSRCP administration. Speaking after a cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat in Amaravati, the Chief Minister discussed several political developments with his ministers.
CM Naidu explained that during the tenure of the previous government, Singapore officials had become wary of engaging with Andhra Pradesh, citing a lack of commitment and coordination from the YSRCP regime. He accused the former government of not only neglecting relations but also intimidating Singaporean ministers during official visits.
He further mentioned that convincing Singapore to participate in the upcoming investment summit scheduled for November was not an easy task. Naidu claimed that the government had to put in considerable effort to re-establish confidence and assure international stakeholders of a stable and investment-friendly environment in the state.
The Chief Minister reiterated his administration’s commitment to rebuilding Andhra Pradesh as a globally attractive investment destination and emphasized that international partnerships would play a key role in the state’s development.
