On the day of its launch, SS Rajamouli’s multi-starrer behemoth RRR, starring NTR and Ram Charan, has been announced to hit the screens worldwide on July 2020. But, it seems like the much anticipated period drama is not going to release as per the initial plans of Rajamouli and his team. It is learnt that the makers are now considering either Dusheera 2020 or Sankranthi 2021 to release the film.
Rajamouli initially planned to wrap up the shooting part by end of this year and allot six months for extensive post production. So, he has announced July 2020 as the release date. However, the filming has been delayed due to production issues and dates of artists. There is still considerable portion left to be shot. Also, Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt are yet to give the call sheets. So RRR shoot might extend further till mid next year.
Due to the high budget involved and other business factors, Rajamouli and his team want to choose the best possible season to release the film worldwide in a grand way so that it will get huge openings. Even though there is no official announcement regarding the postponement, it is very much certain that RRR is not releasing in July 2020. The makers are likely to issue a statement on this once they sort out an ideal date for this highly anticipated film.
