Samantha Akkineni took her time, proved her mettle and emerged as one of the leading actresses down South. Her recent offerings ended up as huge money-spinners. After the super success of Oh Baby, the actress is yet to sign her next. Her next film (96 remake) is in final stages of shoot and it releases this year. Samantha heard a bunch of scripts but none of them excited the actress. She signed a web series for digital giant Amazon and the shoot is already half done. Samantha is in plans to wrap up the shoot at the earliest.
There are speculations that Samantha will take a break as she is left with no exciting and interesting projects. Samantha intends to spend time with her family utilizing this break. Though Samantha wished to work with Nandini Reddy again, the project may not happen anytime soon due to the commitments of Nandini Reddy. As of now, Samantha is in plans to spend time with family staying away from films.
