After playing the role of a track-runner in the successful ‘Malli Malli Idhi Raani Roju’, Sharwanand will be seen as a sportsperson again. This time as a footballer in Hanu Raghavapudi’s ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’.
“He’d be seen as a soccer player but for a brief time period. The film is essentially a pure love story with humour aplenty. For the part to look authentic, Sharwaa did brush up his football skills,” confirmed a source close the film’s unit, while adding that his chemistry with Sai Pallavi, who is playing a medico, will set the screen on fire. “Hanu is mighty happy with the way their portions have come out.”
Currently progressing in Hyderabad, the film is 60 per cent through. “A schedule in Kolkata and another in Nepal will call it a wrap,” added the source.
The romantic comedy also boasts of supporting actors like Murali Sharma, Satyam Rajesh, Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi. Produced by Prasad Chukkapalli and Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner, it is expected to open in cinemas this monsoon.
