Actress Adah Sharma says she is learning to play the flute.

“I picked up the flute a few months back when lockdown was relaxed and shooting started again. I love playing the piano but the flute I can carry in my bag, (and play) in the van between shoots,” she said.

Adah had mentioned about her interest in the flute last year, too. In an Instagram video she posted in October 2020, Adah had captured a tune played by a flute player. She was trying to use her social media presence to help the musician who was struggling to make a living on empty streets during lockdown, she had said back then, and she encouraged her followers to contact people like him, purchase flutes from him and learn the art from “Basuriwaale bhaiya”.

She had also said in her post back then that her fans would be “inflicted with me playing the flute in videos soon”.

It seems now that Adah is finally honing her skills as a flautist.

Actress Adah Sharma took to Instagram to announce that she has signed five new Telugu films.

In her post, the actress, whose film Kshanam completes five years today, thanked the makers for encouraging her to experiment with projects.

The actress posted a clip from the film and wrote: “On 5 yrs of Kshanam I want to announce that I have signed 5 Telugu films ! Everytime I’ve done something experimental in any language u guys have always given me sooo much love and support.The films I’m doing now are all stuff that’s not done before. Thank you for Shweta @adivisesh @raviperepu @pvpcinemaoffl.”

The 2016 Telugu thriller film Kshanam stars Adivi Sesh. Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vennela Kishore, Satyam Rajesh and Satyadev Kancharana. In fact, the film was also remade in Tamil and titled Sathya. It’s Hindi version was called Baaghi 2 and Aadyaa in Kannada.

The actress was recently seen in the short film Chuha Billi, co-starring Anupria Goenka.

Actress Adah Sharma says after shooting a song opposite choreographer-actor-filmmaker Prabhudheva for “Charlie Chaplin 2”, she is inspired to try new dance styles.

“After I shot for one of the songs opposite Prabhudheva in ‘Charlie Chaplin 2’, I’m super inspired to try new styles of dance and well, just dance a lot more! For everyone asking for more dance videos lots lots soon,” Adah tweeted alongside a photograph of herself flaunting her pink tresses on Wednesday.

The Tamil film “Charlie Chaplin 2”, a sequel to Prabhudheva’s “Charlie Chaplin” which released in 2002.

Adah will be making her Tamil film debut with the project.

Actress Adah Sharma says that actors are judged constantly by everyone and in the world where social media is so popular, it is necessary to get used to the judgment as well.

Adah, who recently shot a select edit from KOOVS SS’18, titled California Grunge, told IANS: “As an actor you are judged constantly by everyone. I think with social media… you have to be okay with people saying good and very ugly things too.”

Speaking on actors being influential when it comes to fashion, Adah, who would “love to launch her own clothing line” sometime says that with fashion what is in today is out tomorrow and “what is a disaster today is a fashion statement in a week.

“I think it’s very important how one carries themselves despite and in spite of the clothes they wear,” she said.

“Actors do have an influence… I know people who have had their hair coloured like mine the red ombre when I did it first for the song in ‘Commando 2′”.

“The cons for an actor are that when you are stepping from the car onto a red carpet back to the car or shooting for a movie, with people on set looking out for you… in real life sometimes it wouldn’t be wise to wear the same stuff…but then why live wisely? Have fun with fashion,” she added.

Vouching for the colour yellow to be the hue this summer season, the “Hasee Toh Phasee” actress said: ” From mustard yellow to lemon yellow… yellow it is”.

“Fashion statements will be quirky, floral, fun and fresh stuff, sexy swimwear with shorts will be the next fad. My favourite pieces would be jumpsuit dress. It’s a cute look that can be styled in so many ways,” she said.

Actress Adah Sharma, last seen on screen in “Commando 2”, says she is excited to be roped in as one of the judges for the southern edition of popular dance show “Nach Baliye”.

Having already shot for the first episode of the show, she says the experience has been amazing.

“I’m very excited to be a judge on this show. I have only done four films in Telugu and to get such an opportunity so early on in my career is awesome. I owe it all to the audience and thank them for making me so popular,” Adah said in a statement.

She is a fan of dance-based reality shows.

“I love watching all the dance reality shows from ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ to ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. My favourite judge is Karan Johar; he is very entertaining and I have told that him too,” she said.

Adah will also be seen in “Commando 3”.
