Allu Arjun, who has still been waging an alleged cold war with Pawan Kalyan’s fans, seems to have got into the bad books of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s fans too. This is partly evident from the tirade being carried out by Mega fans on social media against this Rising Star.

Claiming himself as an ardent fan of Megastar, Bunny would never forget to utter at public meetings that Chiranjeevi is the industry’s biggest star and that all other stars come after him. However, at the very recent ‘Thank You Meet’ of Duvvada Jagannadham, Allu Arjun surprisingly didn’t take Megastar’s name. Instead, he went on to pompously claim that his film has beaten all non-Baahubali records, which includes Chiru’s Khaidi No.150’s, as quoted by a leading English daily.

The daily further wrote that Mega fans got angry seeing Bunny acting as if he has become a bigger star than both Chiru and Pawan. They feel that he had refused to acknowledge Pawan Kalyan during ‘Sarrainodu’ Success Meet last year, and this time, he didn’t take the name of Megastar during DJ Thank You Meet.

‘Does he think he has become the biggest star in Mega family?’ say some angry Mega fans on social media.

Megastar Chiranjeevi made his comeback with Khaidi No 150 and the actor is now lined up with interesting projects. He signed his next in the direction of Surendar Reddy which has been titled Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. Mass helmer Boyapati Srinu too has been in race to direct Megastar and as Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy has been finalized, Boyapati is currently in waiting mode.

The latest update says that Boyapati Srinu narrated a political drama to Megastar for which he got a positive nod. After wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming release Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Boyapati will start working on the script. Megastar will take a call after listening to the final draft of this political drama. We have to wait and see if Boyapati will sit in waiting mode until Megstar wraps up Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy which will roll later this year.

Whereas Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film ‘Khaidi No.150’ was released in January this year, his 151st project is likely to go on floors in September. That’s a huge 8-9 months gap. It seems that Megastar is not ready to waste this much time to launch his 152nd.

Chiranjeevi has already finalized mass director Boyapati Sreenu to direct his 152nd film. It is heard that Megastar has now once again alerted Boyapati in this regard by making him a personal phone call. Chiru asked him to be ready with the script as he may summon him anytime soon.

Boyapati has two stories with him which suit Chiru’s age and image. During their meet, Megastar is expected to give his nod to one story, and then the ‘Legend’ director will get busy developing the script. Boyapati is currently busy with ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’, and he will be done with the film very soon.

Considering #Chiru151 is the biopic of Uyyalawada Narasimha Redy, a biopic to be made on a huge canvas, it will take around 8-12 months to wrap up the film. Will Boyapati, who is having lucrative offers to direct Balakrishna and Akhil Akkineni wait for Chiru until that long? A tough call indeed for this mass director.

Legendary music composer for Megastar’s Next?

Megastar Chiranjeevi seems to be quite careful about his next film which has been based on the life story of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. The film will be directed by Surendar Reddy and will be launched officially on August 22nd on Megastar’s birthday. Though the film has been planned in a limited budget and only in Telugu, the stupendous success of Baahubali: The Conclusion made Megastar rethink about the periodic drama. Legendary music composer AR Rahman is in talks to compose the music and the background score for Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. With the film being made in multiple languages, Megastar is keen on roping in AR Rahman for the film. The makers already met Rahman to discuss about the possibilities of working together and an official announcement is awaited. Top cinematographer Ravi Varman is already on board and Ramcharan will produce Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy.

Chiru Wasn’t Pleased With ‘Rangasthalam’ Title?

The title of Ram Charan and Sukumar’s upcoming film was recently made official as ‘Rangasthalam’. The reaction for this title has been pretty mixed. While some said that it sounded like the title of a dubbed film, others called it as a fresh title. Somehow, everyone has now come to terms with this surprising title.

Was it easy for Sukumar to select this old-fashioned title for a Ram Charan-starrer and convince everyone, especially Megastar Chiranjeevi? No, its not. It is heard that the intelligent director had to toil hard to get the nod of Megastar for ‘Rangasthalam’ title.

At first, Chiru wasn’t pleased with the title and he called it old-fashioned. He was more inclined towards ‘Palletoori Monagadu’, which has a mass appeal to it. At one stage, Chiru even suggested Sukumar to choose a title from one of his earlier hit films if his intention was to convey 80s backdrop with the title itself.

Sukumar however was adamant and he tried his best to explain Megastar why ‘Rangasthalam’ title was apt for the subject he had wished to narrate. Charan also supported Sukumar in this aspect. He was of the opinion that a fresh and completely unexpected title will shock fans initially but raise curiosity on the project eventually.

As Charan and Sukumar were on the same page, Chiru gave his nod and the title was announced officially.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has been spotted sporting a twirled mustache and his fans believe this look is for his upcoming Telugu film “Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy”, Abased on the life of popular freedom fighter from Kurnool.

On Saturday, Chiranjeevi attended a special memorial meet for late Telugu filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao, who passed away earlier this month.

At the meet, the “Tagore” actor was spotted with his new look, twirling his mustache in style.

His photographs from the meet have gone viral on social media.

To be directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan, the film is slated to go on the floors next month. Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is in talks to play the leading lady.

The project is tipped to be made on a budget of over Rs 125 crore.

Chiranjeevi bonds with yesteryear colleagues on China trip

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who has been out of the country for over a week, bonded with colleagues from yesteryear on a trip to China.

Actress Radikaa Sarath Kumar, who was also part of the trip tweeted the pictures on Thursday.

“Unforgettable, memorable trip with friends to China. Memories for life,” she wrote, and also shared a few pictures from the trip.

Going by the pictures, Chiranjeevi was accompanied by his wife.

Also present on the trip were Khushbu, Lissy, Bhagyaraj and Poornima Bhagyaraj among a few others.

“Chiranjeevi sir left to China on May 30th. He returns to Hyderabad tonight. It was a week-long trip to China,” a source close to the star told IANS.

Basking in the success of “Khaidi No 150”, Chiranjeevi will commence shooting for his next yet-untitled Telugu project from August.

Congress launched “praja poru” in Tirupati demanding Special Category status for the state in August 2015. That was perhaps the last time Megastar Chiranjeevi was seen last time demanding SCS to the state. It took some time for AP SCS to become a sentiment for the people of AP. Evidently congress which conferred SCS would try to make the most out of it. Almost after two years now, Congress organized a massive program in Guntur for SCS which was attended by who’s who of Congress on Sunday. Instead of Chiranjeevi, this time his brother Pawan Kalyan extended support to Congress rally.

It has become a routine for the Rajya Sabha member of the party to avoid all the meetings organised by APCC. Initially Chiranjeevi stated that he was busy with 150th film and later sited personal reasons. Speculations are rife that the Tollywood actor is going to say goodbye to the Congress especially because Kalyan is gaining momentum in politics. But the former Tourism minister responding to such allegations said that he will remain loyal to congress.

The actor turned politician neither attended SCS discussion in Rajya Sabha nor in Guntur. Congress doesn’t need a passive leader but needs a star campaigner. If only Chiranjeevi takes active part, at least for SCS which was given in his presence, it will be beneficial not only for his party but also for his dormant political career.

It may be noted that from the time his brother’s Jana Sena Party has become vigorous, Chiranjeevi remained mute spectator. His political future is uncertain particularly with Jana Sena appearing to emerge as strong political force. It is apparent that the megastar prefers to be on screen in movies but will likely remain behind the scenes in real politics.

Chiranjeevi’s next film Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy will be simultaneously made in three languages. Producer Ram Charan is very desperate to expand his father’s market in Northern territories. Although the entertainment factor saved his first few films, the recent back to back disasters – Thikka and Winner probably changed his mind and prompted him to do class films. In his effort for an image makeover, the young hero is now teaming up with director Karunakaran, a specialist in dealing love stories.

Tej’s intent is right but Karunakaran is not the same potential director that he once used to be. His last two films – Endukante Premanta and Chinnadana Neekosam couldn’t justify the promise he had shown in his hey days. Let’s wait and see if the duo can surprise everyone.

‘Uyyalawada…’ script has the potential to excite pan-India audience

After making a memorable comeback with Khaidi No 150, Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to play an ambitious role in his next film which is based on the life story of unsung freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. While Surender Reddy is going to wield the megaphone, Ram Charan will once don the producer’s hat for this period drama which is to be made on a whopping budget. As reported earlier, the film will be made as a multilingual film.

Speaking about the film in his recent interview to a leading Telugu news daily, Chiranjeevi gave some interesting updates about the story. He said that Uyyalawada is the first freedom fighter in India and his inspiring and untold story should be glorified in the form of feature film. He expressed confidence that the story has the potential to strike the chord with pan-India audience which is the major reason to make it simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil along with Telugu.

Chiru further added that the film will be made with good technical values involving high-end visual effects. He clarified that a bunch of writers are working rigorously on the script and the film will be readied for next Summer.

A couple of Bollywood actresses are in talks to play the leading lady in the film. The formal launch of the project will take place in August.

‘Baahubali’ let Telugu cinema grow by leaps and bounds: Chiranjeevi

Megastar Chiranjeevi on Sunday said S.S. Rajamoulis “Baahubali” franchise has let Telugu cinema grow beyond ones imagination.

Heaping praise on “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, Chiranjeevi said in a statement: “It’s an outstanding film. Rajamouli deserves all the accolades for creating a wonder like ‘Baahubali’. Hats off to the creator for letting Telugu cinema grow by leaps and bounds.”

Chiranjeevi went on to congratulate the entire cast and crew of the franchise for the success.

With an estimated earnings of Rs 121 crore from first day across four languages, “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” is said to have registered the biggest opening for an Indian film.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, the film is produced by Arka Media Works.
