Gemini TV Bags Jai Lava Kusa Satellite Rights?

Young Tiger NTR is back to shoot with Jai Lava Kusa which is directed by Bobby. The movie has been carrying huge buzz after all the actor’s recent outings performed exceptionally well. With not even half of the shoot wrapped, the satellite deal of the movie is said to have been closed. Jai Lava Kusa satellite rights have been sold out for Gemini TV for a breaking price of Rs 14 crores. However an official confirmation is awaited.

Tarak will be presented in three different roles and the shoot of Jai Lava Kusa is going on around Hyderabad. The makers are keen on releasing the movie on September 1st and Rashi Khanna, Nivetha Thomas are romancing Tarak for the first time in their career. Devi Sri Prasad is said to have stepped out with a magical album and Nandamuri Kalyanram is spending a bomb on Jai Lava Kusa. NTR’s look from Jai Lava Kusa is expected to be out on May 20th on his birthday.

Young Tiger NTR will be looking to extend his purple patch with his upcoming film Jai Lava Kusa which has him playing a triple role for the first time in his career. Directed by Bobby, the film stars Rashi Khanna and Nivedha Thomas as the female leads. The shoot is progressing at a rapid rate in Hyderabad and the makers are planning to release the film in the second half of this year.

The recently released motion poster received a thumping response in social media. Now, it is learnt from close sources that the first look poster of the film will be unveiled on the 20th of May coinciding with NTR’s birthday. An official confirmation from the producer in this regard is awaited. The three characters of NTR are highly guarded by the unit and expectations on the film among the trade circles are very high.

Devi Sri Prasad’s ‘inspirations’ unveiled!

Well, composer Devi Sri Prasad did earn good comments for his work for Kumari 21F. We do appreciate it but can’t hide the fact that a couple of songs in the film, Bang Bang Bangkok and Meghalu Lekunna have their own origins elsewhere. Bang Bang Bangkok, which more or less is a rehash of most of the party songs sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh, is a sister version of the Johnny Johnny number from Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment. It isn’t a blatant copy but yes, you see the similarity in the beats.

Whereas for Meghalu Lekunna, it’s tough to neglect that its pallavi is more or less a fastened/altered version of Kamal Haasan-Sridevi number Yedalo Toli Valape in the movie Yerra Gulabeelu. These things are common in the industry, the little inspirations, but when a prominent face does it, a bad example is set for others. However, as long as it sells, just like the international ‘inspirations’ of the movie itself, do these things matter?

  1. Sukumar’s first film from his production house Sukumar Writings i.e., “Kumari 21 F” starring Raj Tarun, Hebah Patel in the direction of Palnati Surya Pratap has completed the talkie part of the shoot.

The unit has already completed filming four songs.

Apart from being the producer / presenter of the film, Sukumar has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues.

Palnati Surya Pratap, who assisted Sukumar in his earlier films, is the director of “Kumari 21 F”.

This film has cinematography by R Rathnavelu (of Arya, Robo, 1–Nenokkadine, Lingaa) and music is being composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed superb songs and the unit has already completed filming four songs.

Sukumar Writings is producing “Kumari 21 F” in association with PA Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd. The film is being produced jointly by Sukumar, Vijaya Prasad Bandreddi and Thomas Reddy Aduri (of PA Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd)

The unit has kick started and is executing post production activities in full swing and the producers are gearing up for release during dasara season in October.

Ilayatalapathy Vijay’s Puli is postponed to October 1st 2015 from the originally planned date, September 17th. Producers, P.T.Selva Kumar and Shibu Thameens in their press release stated that post production work of the film is taking longer than anticipated and the delay in release is unavoidable to maintain quality. We gathered information that the CG work of the film is taking a lot of time to fine tune as the film has 2200 standalone CG shots in it. 2200 CG shots is highest for any film ever to be made in India. Puli is being directed by Chimbu Devan and Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music. Sruthi Hassan and Hansika are paired with Vijay in this fantasy adventure. Sri Devi is playing a villainous role. SVR Media is presenting the film in Telugu.
