Sathyaraj still Silent: Rajamouli fails to Convince Kannadas

0

SS Rajamouli is quite keen and focussed on his next Baahubali: The Conclusion. The entire work of the movie has been wrapped up yesterday and Baahubali: The Conclusion has been sold out for hefty prices all over. Karnataka turned out to be a massive issue for the makers as the state called it a ban for Baahubali: The Conclusion. Actor Sathyaraj who made some harsh comments on the people regarding Cauvery issue in the past is the reason.

SS Rajamouli met Karnataka Film Chamber President Sa Ra Govind and senior actor Ambareesh for the issue to be sorted. However they are quite keen on the issue and are expecting a public apology from Sathyaraj. They clarified that they will not change their stand till the actor apologizes. Rajamouli is quite worried as a ban in Karnataka will make Baahubali: The Conclusion lose massive numbers. Some of the organizations across the state called it for a bandh to ban the film in Karnataka.

With many things happening Sathyaraj is unavailable to respond or comment on this. Rajamouli is left with no choice except to convince Sathyaraj for a public apology. Else, Rajamouli and his team should be prepared for losing huge money among one of the most crucial territories for Telugu films.

Sreemukhi on Bilingual Flick Chandrika

It is not Chandramukhi but Chandrika, the bi lingual Chandrika is being presented by Sajid Qureshi who made Pustakam Lo Konni Pageelu Missing. “He was looking for a Telugu girl, one girl who was already finalised was Kamna Jetmalani. He saw my work on Saradhi and Prema Ishq Kadal, he narrated the story on the phone. One day he did a trial shoot and uploaded on the youtube and got a good response. He made it in two languages both in Kannada and Telugu. Muni Siddhappa is the director”, reveals Sreemukhi to Telugu360.com.

Ask her if there are any similarities with Chandramukhi she replies, “People think that Chandramukhi is similar to Chandrika but it is totally different, only the genre is a common point. The director made sure that the plot looked novel, and I am sure people will not find any similarities. Kamna Jetmalini comes in the flash back and I play the housewife and her aatma comes into me, Second part too there is a small part as a flash back. We tried to play with colours, like gulal…It is an out and out love story. It is a challenge for me to take up such a role and yes, this is a debut film for me in Kannada. Hundred percent was shot in Bangalore and Mysore, at Lalit Mahal Palace.”

How easy was Kannada?

“It took a lot of physical effort and I had to shout, scream a lot. The language was similar, when I was hosting Adhurs I was witness to seeing the Kannada part being filmed so I could grasp most of it and so it wasn’t difficult. I heard horror films in Benguluru do really well. Lot of people have already started enquiring after the trailers came out. My next film is releasing Dhanalakshmi Talupu Thattidi. This is a comedy thriller and that former is love story and horror.”

Haripriya in Demand in Kannada Films

She might not have tasted a decent box office success in Telugu but the talented and good looking Haripriya is in demand in Kannada films. Last year Vaarahi Vennalave (it means Ravoi Chandamama) starring Dinesh Atthakathi and her was a big hit. Director Shashidharan had this love story narrated differently and Haripriya says she fell for the story instantly. “He is fabulous, it is his first film. The minute he starts explaining the scene, you get excited and want to get into the character soon and easily. He has immense clarity and it is a love story that revolves around a girl Meera, can’t reveal much at this stage. There was lot of emoting more through expressions and eyes than dialogues. It is an extremely strong character and I am pinning hopes on this, only when this releases I will take up other scripts.”

The actor talks about the rest of the projects, she has five major releases in Kannada and one film in Tamil waiting to hit the screen. “Ugram was a big success in Kannada, released in 2014. After that there was no looking back, I signed Ranna (Attharintiki Dharedi), I played Pranita’s role. I am so happy that I got back to back hits. Bullet Bhasya is also a commercial film, Sharan is the hero and is headed for a July release. The songs have become popular here. Ricky has Rakshit Shetty as the hero, he is a director cum actor. This film however has not been directed by him. I have a double role, one as a naxalite and the other a soft one. The Naxalite has been presented not the way you’d see in an art film, it is a commercial love story. I have lost weight for this film and I am maintaining that. Ranatantra is in post production. It is a thriller and a love story, the director Adiram has blended thriller and love very well. Vijay Raghavendra is the hero. Right now I am shooting for Rajadhani 2 (Kannada) with Preetam.”
