Meena’s husband passed away

Veteran actress Meena got married to Vidyasagar, a Bengaluru-based businessman in 2009 and the couple is blessed with a daughter Nainika. Vidyasagar was ill and he was rushed to a Chennai-based hospital yesterday and he passed away due to lung infection. Reports revealed that Vidyasagar has been suffering from lungs-related allergies from the past few years. Vidyasagar and Meena are tested positive for Covid-19 early this year. Vidyasagar’s lung infection worsened post-Covid.

The family of Vidyasagar has been trying hard to find a donor for lung transplantation but they could not find the right one. Vidyasagar’s health condition deteriorated and he breathed his last yesterday night. The last rites of Vidyasagar will take place today. Condolences poured in for Meena on the demise of her husband.

‘Annaatthe’ actress Meena, family members test positive for Covid

Tamil actress Meena, who was most recently seen in the Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Annaatthe’, has announced that she has tested positive for Covid-19.

The actress took to social media to make the announcement.

She wrote, “First visitor to my home in 2022, Mr Corona. It liked my entire family. But I’m not letting it stay. Beware people. Please stay safe and healthy. Be responsible and don’t let it spread. Keep us in your prayers.”

Sources say that besides Meena, but her husband Vidyasagar, mother Rajmallika and daughter Nainika, who has acted in popular films such as Vijay’s ‘Theri’ and Arvind Swami’s ‘Bhaskar Oru Rascal’, also tested positive for the virus.

The actress and her family members have taken precautionary measures and have isolated themselves.

Buzz from Chennai is that Meena will play Rajinikanth’s wife’s role in his new film that will be launched soon. ‘Shankam’ fame Siva will be directing this film. Sun Pictures will bankroll it.

Rajinikanth and Meena were considered as a hit pair in the ’90s. ‘Muthu’ was a sensational blockbuster in their combination. Siva is reuniting them for this new film. Meena recently appeared as Venkatesh’s wife in ‘Drusyam’.

Collection King Manchu Mohan Babu and Comedy King Allari Naresh are doing Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu, a multi starer in the direction of Srinivasa Reddy of Damarukham fame. Today this film was formally launched. This unique multi starer promises to be an out and out entertainer true to the style of Srinivasa Reddy. After a gap of 23 years, Mohan Babu will be seen opposite Ramya Krishna and Meena. This casting was a super hit in Allari Mogudu which released in 1992. Poorna will be seen opposite Allari Naresh. Manchu Vishnu is producing this film on his 24 frames Factory banner and is planning for Summer 2016 release. Achu, Bappa Lahiri and Raghu Kunche will be providing an ensemble soundtrack for this film.
