Tollywood audience are all set to witness the first trilogy soon. Several films in Telugu cinema are made in two installments and for the first time, Nithiin gave his nod for a trilogy. Lyric writer turned director Krishna Chaitanya will direct this project which will start by the end of this year once Nithiin wraps up all his current commitments.

Powerpet is the title locked for the project which will be produced by Nithiin’s home banner Sreshth Movies. Powerpet is currently in pre-production and the script work got completed recently. The genre along with the cast, crew members will be officially announced soon. Nithiin is all excited about this prestigious trilogy.

Nithin’s heroine signs Dil Raju’s next

Tamil starlet Megha Akash tested her luck in Tollywood with Nithin’s Lie and Chal Mohan Ranga. Unfortunately, both films ended as box office flops which impacted her offers in Telugu. Meanwhile, she got busy with a handful of Tamil films.

Now, she has bagged a plump offer in ace producer Dil Raju’s next film which will have young and talented hero Raj Tarun in the lead role. To be directed by Krishna Reddy, who worked as assistant director for many films in Dil Raju’s banner, the untitled project is going to be launched on Ugadhi. After considering several heroines, they have zeroed in on Megha Akash as Raj Tarun’s romantic interest.

Mickey J Meyer will compose the tunes for the film. Raj Tarun and Megha Akash will be hoping to bag the much needed success with this successful banner.

Akhil platinum disc function on November 8th

The audio of Akkineni Akhil’s debut film Akhil is getting a thumping response from the audience ever since the release of the album. Composed jointly by Anup Rubens and SS Thaman, the album has 5 songs with foot tapping tunes and catchy lyrics.

Marking the grand success of the audio, the makers of Akhil have decided to celebrate the platinum disc function in a grand way. Arrangements are being made in Vizag for this event to be held on November 8th at the Port Kalavahini auditorium.

Directed by VV Vinayak, the film has Sayyesha Saigal as the female lead. Actor Nithiin is the producer. The post production work is wrapped up and the movie is all set for a grand release on the November 11th.

‘Akhil’ release date confirmed by Nithiin

Akhil is the debut film of Akkineni Akhil in the direction of VV Vinayak which has Sayyesha Saigal as the female lead. The film’s shoot is in nearing completion and the unit is currently busy shooting for a romantic song in Austria. The entire shooting part will be wrapped up in a few more days and the audio launch event will be held on September 20th.

Through an official press note, Nithin has confirmed that the film will hit the screens on October 22nd as a Dusheera treat for the audience. He added that the response for the trailer has been overwhelming and the YouTube hits for the electrifying trailer have crossed the 1 million mark in no time. Nithin’s home banner Sreshth Movies is producing the film.

Veligonda Srinivas has penned a solid script for the film. Happening music composers Anup Rubens and SS Thaman have scored the tunes.

Nithin to team up with young director

Young actor Nithin is on a roll these days. Owing to the long break which he took after his last release, he is now on a signing spree. He has already given the nod to his next two films which will be directed by Trivikram Srinivas and debutante Venu Mallidi. The latest update is that young lyric writer Krishna Chaitanya, who turned director with Nara Rohit’s Rowdy Fellow, will soon direct Nithiin in an untitled family entertainer.

Krishna Chaitanya has penned lyrics for various hit songs which include Nithin’s evergreen songs like Oh Priya Priya, Gundejari Gallantheyyinde and Chinnadana Neekosam. It is heard that he has narrated an interesting storyline to Nithin a few days ago and got the go-ahead signal from the actor. He is now busy completing the final script and Nithin’s home banner Sreshth Movies might produce this film. The project is likely to go on floors next year.

Akhil’s debut to be wrapped up soon

It is well-known that Akhil Akkineni, the latest entrant from Akkineni family, is currently busy shooting for his debut film under the direction of VV Vinayak. Already, a video snippet of the film’s making was released sometime ago and Akhil was seen performing with great energy levels in the stunt sequences. Expectations are sky-high among the audience and the makers are making all possible efforts to make it a big hit.

A close source from the unit informed that the movie is confirmed to hit the screens as a festival treat during Dussera. Possibly it will hit the screens on Oct 21 if no other major film is slated to release on the same day, added the source. Almost 70 percent of the film’s shooting has been done and dusted. The unit had wrapped up a couple of hectic foreign schedules and the remaining part will be completed by the end of next month.

Sayesha Saigal is sharing the screen alongside Akhil and actor Nithin is producing this action entertainer. Anoop Rubens and SS Thaman are scoring tunes for this film. The title is yet to be announced and the makers are planning to release the first look teaser on Aug 29, on the eve of Nagarjuna’s birthday.
