Nani, Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty played the lead roles and Niharika Entertainment bankrolled Shyam Singha Roy. The film is an intense periodic drama set in Kolkata in 1970s. Nani is currently shooting for his next biggie Dasara, a rustic Telangana-based love story that will release next year.

Chandrababu endorses Oscar nomination for Baahubali

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is mesmerized with Baahubali. Naidu who toils day and night for the welfare and development of the State managed to allocate time to watch S S Rajamouli’s Magnum opus Baahubali-The Conclusion. Amazed by the performances of the artists and crew, the TDP supremo said, “I will request the Central government to nominate it for Oscars.”

He held that the film is a great accomplishment for the Telugu people and reflects their talent and capabilities. The Chief Minister had a conversation with the director Rajamouli, Actor Rana and appreciated their work. He couldn’t get in touch with the hero of the movie Prabhas as he was unavailable. He held that the movie has taken Indian cinema to a next level.

Naidu also communed that, soon director Rajamouli and the film crew will be honored on behalf of the government of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati.
