He even hiked his fee for the upcoming films after the way Raja The Great performed at the box-office. The entire shoot of his next outing Touch Chesi Chudu has been wrapped up with a patch work today afternoon. The movie unit returned back from Dubai after canning two songs across the beautiful locales of the Dubai recently.

Vikram Sirikonda is the director of Touch Chesi Chudu and the makers are keen on releasing the film during Sankranthi. But Ravi Teja is not interested for the film hitting the screens during Sankranthi between tough competition. With Agnyaathavaasi and Jai Simha already occupying huge number of screens across the Telugu states, Touch Chesi Chudu will get a limited release for Sankranthi. Ravi Teja is not in a mood to release his film during the holiday season and he deferred with the makers about the release date. He feels that he will lose his market once again if the film performs below average during the holiday season.

The makers too did not make things official about the release date till date which did not go well with the actor. Ravi Teja is yet to wrap up the dubbing work for Touch Chesi Chudu and the re-recording work too kick-started recently. On the whole, Touch Chesi Chudu will not hit the screens during Sankranthi though the makers are working hard for a huge release during Sankranthi 2018. Rashi Khanna, Seerat Kapoor are the female leads and Nallamalapu Bujji, Vallabhaneni Vamsi are the producers.

Raja the great has closed it’s business worldwide with a distributor share of over 30.5 Cr. This is the first film for the hero to surpass 30cr mark. The film did very well in Nizam and Uttarandhra as it has crossed 11cr mark and collected nearly 4cr respectively . It did decent to good business in East Godavari,West Godavari , Krishna and Nellore, But it under performed big in Ceeded and Guntur where mass films are bound to do well. Investors have lost significant amounts in these areas. Bad performance for the film came in overseas where it is a flop.

Considering that the film has collected above 30cr and did decent to good business except few areas, it can be termed as an ABOVE AVERAGE

Mythri Movie Makers joined the board and Srinu Vaitla, Ravi Teja have been asked to share the profits instead of taking hefty cheques.

Though Ravi Teja agreed for the proposal initially, he is now not in a mood to work on profit sharing basis. After Raja The Great performed well, he is quoting his remuneration for all his future projects and this did not go well with Mythri Movie Makers. They decided to walk out of the project and Srinu Vaitla is currently in search for a producer who can invest on the project. The film is expected to start rolling from March next year.

The actor has an interesting lineup of films and he is shooting for Touch Chesi Chudu which has been announced for Sankranthi 2018 release. The actor has been completely impressed with the Tamil movie Bogan and gave his nod for the remake. Lakshman who directed the original has been asked to helm the film and the pre-production work was on cards.

Things changed completely after Ravi Teja walked out of the project suddenly. Impressed with a script narrated by Bobby, the actor was in no mood to do Bogan remake which left the director of Bogan in shock. Speaking to a leading Tamil entertainment portal, Lakshman said “I spent ample time for the script to suit and impress Telugu audience. Considering Ravi Teja, I made enough changes and I am left upset after I was informed that the actor is no longer on board. I am puzzled now, if I should remake the film with another actor or start working on my next Tamil project”.

Ravi Teja remained unavailable to respond on this. Ravi Teja has films with Bobby, Srinu Vaitla which will start rolling early next year. Ram Talluri will produce Bobby’s film while Mythri Movie Makers will produce Srinu Vaitla’s flick.
