Latest TRP and BARC ratings of Telugu TV News Channels TV9 NTV TV5 ETV ABN Andhrajyothy

Kommineni Srinivasa Rao’s (aka KSR) move to Sakshi from NTV has been one of the most high profile telugu media events in the recent past. Some media observers opined that this is going to have a catastrophic effect on NTV ratings. However, as per the latest BARC ratings, this assumption turned out to be incorrect. NTV maintained it’s second position on the leader board and has increased it’s BARC rating to 140 from 127. Saskhi stayed at 6th position even after Kommineni’s show and is ahead of ETV and ABN.

Meanwhile, TV9 continued to be the market leader in the crowded space. TV9’s BARC rating increased to 194 from 174. Vivek’s V6, a Telangana channel, continued it’s impressive streak at 4th position. BARC ratings continue to embarrass the Eenadu group and is struggling to even stay in top 5. V Radha Krishna’s ABN Andhra Jyothy continues to be a laggard on the ratings board and except it’s flagship program ‘Open Heart with RK’ there seems to be no takers for this news channel.
