For Jagan, threatening officials becomes the norm

0

The threat is stronger than the execution. Donald Trump threatened to put Hillary behind the bars, will he? Is yet to be answered. Recently Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu linking Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to the US President asked “want a joker like Trump for Chief Minister?”

The antics of Jagan seems to answer the question, two years before the elections. Being an opposition leader he is already displaying how he is going to misuse power. He ensures to make his presence felt either by hook or crook wherever he goes, leave alone the seriousness of the situation.

Of late, he became a pain to the government officials, as he snatched away a postmortem report from the doctors of Nandigama government area hospital in connection with the ghastly mishap that claimed 10 lives near Mullapadu in Krishna district. Jagan howled during his argument with the collector who was trying to retrieve the report from him. The opposition leader threatened, “Right from the police to the (district) Collectors, all are corrupt. I will send you all too central jail”. It is ironic how the leader who impends to jail is the one who has a pile of cases against him.

It is obvious that Jagan is suffering from ‘FOMO’ or the ‘Fear of Missing Out’. Recently at Vishaka airport Jagan said “Two years…in only two years, I’ll be the CM. I’ll not leave anyone of you. I’ll not forget your names. I won’t spare you”. It seems that the YSRCP’s strategy just switched from being a promise to being a threat?

Because of these over confident statements, Jagan is bound to face strong criticism. He is just giving a chance for the press and TDP leaders to lash out at him for creating ruckus during deaths. He doesn’t look like a Tollywood hero who challenges villain’s downfall. He looks timid with these comments.

In fact these incidents expose the lack of organizational set-up in YSRCP who can’t even meet victims without creating rumpus. These threats from Yuvaneta project him as self-indulgent and are creating a lot of bad press for him. He doesn’t give interviews to any other media houses and is neither cordial with them, people who depend on news will start judging him on these incidents.

It would be really good that someone with the temperament of Jagan in not in charge of the law and order in state. Will all these officials be jailed if he comes to power– well Karma has no menu, they get served what they deserve.
