Us box office, Mahanati

Tollywood’s last week releases Nela Ticket and Ammammagarillu failed to garner the attention of overseas audience due to the poor word of mouth and below par reviews. Keerthi Suresh’s Mahanati performed better than the new releases in the just concluded weekend.

Nela Ticket opened on a poor note with $ 32K from its Thursday premiers. The film couldn’t sustain in the first weekend as the collections are very appalling. By the end of Sunday, the film collected around $ 85K.

Naga Shaurya’s Ammammagarillu also had a similar run like Nela Ticket in its first weekend. Both films are going to be huge disasters in overseas.

Meanwhile, Mahanati is marching towards the $ 2.5M mark with a decent run in the third weekend. The film has already surpassed some of the all time biggest hits like Khaidi No 150 and A..Aa and is now the 6th highest grosser in overseas.
