UV creations hits a jackpot with Bhagmati

Ever since Anushka has been roped in to play the lead role in historical thriller Bhagmati, the movie has been in news. However the makers managed to wrap up the entire shoot of the movie and not even a single glimpse from the movie has been out. Pilla Zamindar fame Ashok directed the movie which is now in the final stages of post-production. Though the movie has been initially aimed for August release, the delay in the VFX work pushed the film’s release to October.

Bhagmati is made on a budget of Rs 19 crores and the movie’s pre-release business has been closed. The makers managed to pocket Rs 40 crores even before the release of the first look. With Anushka widely famous across the country now, the Hindi rights of the film alone have been sold out for Rs 12.5 crores which is huge. The movie even did decent business across the Telugu speaking states. The makers are in plans to release the film during October this year and UV Creations bankrolled the project.

Aadhi Pinisetty, Unni Mukundan and Jayaram essayed other pivotal roles in Bhagmati. The movie will hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
