Veteran director passes away

Kannada film actor-director Kashinath passed away yesterday in Bangalore. He has been taking treatment for cancer. He was multi-talented. He was writer, actor and director and has credit of around 50 movies.

He was known to Telugu audience of 1980’s and 90’s through his dubbing movies. Kashinath had carved a niche for himself in the genre of comedy, especially adult comedy. His Kannada dubbing films like Pogarubothu Pellam , Vinta Sobhanam, Bhulokamlo Rambha Urvashi Menaka, Anubhavam ran well in AP too.

Actor and director Upendra worked with him as assistant director and even Upendra’s first film “Tharle nan magaa” has heavy influence of Kashinath’s taking.
