Sutradhar Theatre Group organizer Vinay Varma has been facing allegations of sexual harassment. The Narayanaguda cops arrested him on Tuesday and he was sent for judicial remand after he asked his female students to undress themselves during a workshop. A 21-year-old student (name not revealed) filed a complaint on April 18th that couple of girls were asked to remove their upper garments before the male students in a workshop. They were asked to leave the workshop for refusing it read the complaint.
Vinay Varma was arrested following the complaint and cases have been registered under sections 354A, 506 and 509 of IPC. Vinay Varma supported his acts saying that it was an accepted practice. He has been running Sutradhar Theatre Group from the past two decades in Hyderabad.
