Dashing filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is currently basking in the glory of the stupendous success achieved by his latest outing iSmart Shankar. The film has emerged as blockbuster hit and ended Puri’s long wait for a big break from his streak of flops. This is a much need success for the star director who is going through a lean patch and critics opined that he has bounced back at the right time.
Now, the question is whom will Puri choose for his next project ? During the promotions of iSmart Shankar, Puri made controversial statements that no star hero of the current generation encouraged him when he was going through flops. He also clarified that he won’t approach them again even though he scored a big hit with iSmart Shankar. So, will Puri once again choose a tier -2 hero for his next project ?
All medium range heroes are currently busy with a bunch of projects in their kitty. There were speculations that he is likely to direct Vijay Devarakonda in his dream project Jana Gana Mana. However, it turned out to be a rumour. Puri also has the habit of working with new actors. But, he might not take that risk at this point of time. Recently, Puri said he is still optimistic of convincing Megastar Chiranjeevi with a good script. As Chiru is committed to do Koratala Siva’s next film, Puri might need to wait till next year end to work with him. Also, Balakrishna is busy with his commitments. So, Puri might have to wait longer to choose a hero for his next project.
