Till now, there is a general feeling that PM Modi is very friendly to CM Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy. But the BJP AP leaders are giving different feedback these days. Modi has recently commented on the attitude of Jagan. The comment was made in the presence of top think tank in Delhi. PM expressed surprise why Jagan was still demanding Special Status. During an earlier meeting, Modi told Jagan not to press for this demand to which AP CM gave his acceptance.
Modi was also unhappy over the manner in which AP CM raised the Special Status issue in the Niti Ayog meeting. Jagan circulated detailed reports on AP’s right for Special Status at that meeting which also irritated Modi who was chairing the meeting. Prior to the elections, Jagan and Prashant Kishor just convinced the BJP that the status slogan was just a political slogan. Now, the YCP is continuing to raise the issue which is sure to embarrass the Modi government soon. Everybody has seen how TDP suffered huge losses after turning against Modi.
