An elderly woman today made the highest individual donation so far to the construction of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. The woman, Muppavarapu Swarajyamma, a native of Neerukonda, in Mangalagiri mandal today called on chief minister Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada camp office and handed over the check of Rs one crore. Mangalagiri mandal also falls in the capital development region of Amaravati. Chief minister Naidu profusely thanked her for her commitment to the cause of Amaravati which is going to emerge as a world Class city.
