Why are the MLA ticket aspirants and second-rung leaders of YCP totally unhappy with Jaganmohan Reddy? Their fate is being decided by not Jagan or some top leaders of the party. It is the outsourcing team of Jagan’s media adviser Prashant Kishhore who are giving counselling to ticket aspirants. So, at a crucial time like the election season, the day-to-day functions of Jagan’s party are literally run by some teams who are not related to the party at all.
More alarming is the manner in which PK team is dealing with different groups of leaders from each constituency. If there are two to three aspirants for a particular assembly segment ticket, they are being called to the party Hyderabad office to meet Vijayasai Reddy or YV Subba Reddy. But ultimately, these ticket aspirants are being taken to PK team who are giving them counselling in a typical corporate style. These aspirants are trying to tell how they spent huge amounts and ran into debts all these five years to continue YCP activities in their segments. But the PK team is just dismissing them saying the surveys are giving different picture.
There are instances when some aspirants insisted on speaking to Jagan to explain about their candidature and winning chances. Then, these leaders are being asked to simply quit the party if they want. These second-rung leaders are now cursing Jagan for treating them just like the marketing staff in some company and not like respectable political leaders. They are also asking if anybody will respect them back in their constituencies if Jagan treats them like this.
These leaders saying that it is very sad Jagan has given all powers to the PK team before going on his London visit.
