Rana Daggubhati cultivated a taste to explore path breaking genres in different languages. He teamed up Tamil director Prabhu Solomon for the modern day take on yesteryear actor Rajesh Khanna’s cult classic Haathi Mere Saathi.

The film, which revolves around a bond between man and animals, has been titled as Aranya in Telugu and Kaadan in Tamil. Both these titles refer to forests in the respective languages.

Rana will be seen as a mahout in this film and the captivating first look poster , which was unveiled few months ago, has captured the attention of viewers. Rana has trained for two weeks with elephants in Thailand prior to starting this film’s shoot.

The makers are planning to release the film for Diwali this year.
