Modi breaks his silence on Chandrababu’s campaign against EVMs

1

For the first time, Prime Minister Modi issued a strong counter to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s agitation against the electronic voting machines (EVMs). He said that the BJP’s rivals have realised how they are losing the election in the first three phases itself. This is why they are now blaming the EVMs.

Modi alleged that Chandrababu Naidu has made it a single point agenda to target him as he knows already their allies are losing. Modi sarcastically said that the opposition leaders are blaming the EVMs which is like they blame the umpire in cricket when they are declared ‘out’. Modi’s counter came after a prolonged struggle being waged by the 22 anti-BJP parties in the courts and outside. Chandrababu took the lead in the struggle. Modi finally commented as the May 23 counting day is fast approaching.

  1. As ruling party at center, he must explain why voters had to stand in queues beyond midnight hours to cast their votes , why inadequate security arrangements in sensitive polling stations; poor administration from eci and center for political gains
