In a big surprise to audience and trade circles, Stylish star Allu Arjun and Superstar Mahesh Babu have locked the same release date for their upcoming films. First it was Allu Arjun who took to Twitter and announced that Ala Vaikunthapurramloo will hit the screens on January 12th. In no time, Mahesh Babu also officially confirmed that Sarileru Neekevvaru will release on the same date. This epic clash is now the talking point in industry circles. Here is what actually happened before the surprise announcements were made.
It is a known fact that both these big ticket films were announced for Sankranthi release long back. We have learnt that the makers of Sarileru Neekevvaru have been negotiating with Ala Vaikunthapurramloo team from many days to avert clash. Producer Anil Sunkara has proposed multiple options and informed that they are happy to release on either 11th or 14th depending on the date chosen by Bunny producers. But, Ala Vaikunthapurramloo team is very particular about Jan 12th date. They are unwilling to give away the advantage of releasing on 12th. While Sarileru Neekevvaru team is still in talks to finalize an ideal date for both films, out of blue Allu Arjun has officially announced the date of Ala Vaikunthapurramloo.
As Mahesh Babu also not ready to lose the advantage of releasing on 12th, he immediately told the makers to fix Jan 12th. So, in a span of few minutes, both these announcements have been made and the clash appears to be inevitable as no one is willing to miss the ideal date.
