Post Srimanthudu release, South Indian star hero Prince Mahesh Babu came forward to adopt two villages, one each in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. One of them is Burripalem of Guntur district which is the native place of Mahesh’s father cinema actor Krishna. Inspired by Srimanthudu’s noble theme of giving back to the roots, Mahesh decided to develop his ancestral village with the help of his brother in law and Guntur MP Galla Jaydev.
Keeping his promise, Mahesh visited Burripalem in May this year. He interacted with the villagers and promised to take up the developmental programmes very soon. The Srimanthudu actor provisioned 2.14 Crores to provide the basic amenities to the backward village. Now, the latest update reveals that the developmental activities have gained ground and are progressing swiftly. Earlier today, Mahesh Babu took to his Facebook page to reveal that the drainage construction program is underway at present.
It is learnt that Mahesh Babu is closely monitoring the progress and chances are likely that he will visit the place very soon. Mahesh is currently busy shooting for his next project under the direction of Murugadoss.
