Baahubali storm continues — Records tumble

SS Rajamouli’s crowd-pleasing period drama, Baahubali, continues to rake in unbelievable collections in all the areas of its release. The film has entered the second week and the collections storm seems relentless. Already, the movie has amassed mind-boggling numbers in its first week all over the world. It is also now the highest grossing South Indian film. The Hindi version has so far notched up around 55 Crores. Trade analysts predict that the movie has got a big chance of toppling the Bollywood biggies as its strong run is expected to continue in the northern territories.

Baahubali also set a new benchmark in the state of Karnataka. Baahubali raked in a humongous 38 crores net collection within 9 days of its release. Baahubali is the new industry hit in Karnataka surpassing Kicha Sudeep’s Manikya and Darshan’s Krantiveera Sangoli Rayanna. Baahubali is running to packed houses in Karnataka and is likely to collect more than 50 crores nett.

So far, with all versions worldwide, the overall gross has surpassed the 300 Crore mark which sums up the craze for this visual grandeur. More records will be trashed by the end of second week considering its strong run in all regions.

The spellbinding visual effects and the flawless storytelling are the biggest assets to this epic fantasy. Starring Prabhas, Rana, Tamannaah, Anushka and few others, the second part ‘Baahubali : The Conclusion’ will release in mid 2016. Expectations are soaring high on the second part and the master filmmaker SS Rajamouli is making all possible efforts to make it more engaging for the audience. The team is getting ready to start shooting from September. The 250 Crore hefty project is being bankrolled by Arka Media Works banner.
