What a beauty! This is the first thing one could possibly come up after knowing about the BJP’s strategy to counter-attack TDP. It is an open secret that, the BJP and TDP alliance in the state has been dusted a few months back. But the senior party leaders from both the parties limited their attack within the party circles.
With the AP Special Category Status, the leader from the respective parties did fall out in the media. BJP MLC Somu Veerraju who lashed out at Chandrababu in the morning soon received the same heat from TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna. Things got much worse, after AP CPI Secretary K Ramakrishna called for the resignation of BJP Ministers from AP Cabinet, with BJP labelling Chandrababu as corrupt.
In counter to TDP, the BJP leader speaking in a meeting held at Kurnool brought the issue of ‘Rayalaseema’ into the discussion. They spoke about the need for ‘Rayalaseema’ declaration and stated that Chandrababu Naidu, during his tenure as CM (in previous terms), and even now, completely overlooked the region.
They demanded that High Court should be established in Rayalaseema and not in Amaravati. One BJP leader said, ‘Chandrababu is doing the same mistake as he did in the past. During his tenure as CM, he developed only Hyderabad in United AP. Now, he is developing Amaravati in residual AP. This is going to cost him dearly’.
It looks like the fight between BJP and TDP might well unearth some hidden, and unknown facts about the two parties. The biggest beneficiary is media, while the biggest loser is the common man.
