BJP leaders complain to Governor

Several BJP leaders complained to Governor Narasimhan that the law and order situation in AP has deteriorated to such an extent that there was an attack on Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy himself in Vizag. The BJP leaders pleaded for intervention of Governor to ensure the safety of non-TDP leaders in the state.

Retired IAS IYR Krishna Rao, Dinesh Reddy and other BJP leaders went in a delegation and met Governor. They said that DGP Thakur had wrongfully announced that the attack was made by Jagan fan for the sake of getting publicity. They wanted the Jagan knife attack case to be investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation rather than the State agencies.

The BJP leaders took objection to TDP saying Governor has no right to talk directly to DGP to get details about Jagan attack case. They pointed out that the police remand report had suggested that there was an attempt to murder Jagan contrary to the past statements of DGP.
