The promotional posters of Nagarjuna and Nani starrer Devadas has been making maximum buzz for the honesty in the content. It was indeed a treat to watch these two talented stars of different generations come together to put up a fun show. On the eve of Nani’s birthday, Chettu Kindha Doctor released bringing even more entertainment to Telugu movie fans.
Chettu Kinda Doctor Lyrical || Devadas Songs :
This interesting song has shades of Raaga Madhyamavathi and Kaapi but goes to different realms and also has a tinge of funkiness associated with it. Padma Latha does a brilliant job with her sultry vocals and Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics are an interestng word play. The interludes are typical of Mani Sharma’s vintage style but also have a modern touch to it.
Vaaru Veeru Lyrical || Devadas Songs :
Another number Vaaru Veeru is quite jazzy and fun to hear. Mani Sharma relies on his favourite raaga Suddha Dhanyasi and fuses it to enjoyable jazz layers. Anurag Kulkarni does a fantastic job in terms of Telugu diction and also the confidence of rendition is evident. The usage of harmonica, trumpets, and gripping rhythm fuses greatly with the strings. Sirivennela Sitararama Sastry’s lyrics are of top notch.
All in all, Devadas has brought even more attention to itself with this set of interesting numbers in a timely manner. It is indeed a delight to watch Mani Sharma ruling the roost in style!
