Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Congress parties jointly staged dharna in Hyderabad Tuesday protesting the suspension of 25 Congress members from Lok Sabha yesterday. They condemned the suspension stating that NDA, instead of taking action against those involved in the corrupt deals, was backing them and suspending those MPs for just raising the issue in the parliament.
” Modi opened the flood gates for corruption while TDP has become hub of corrupt practices,” APCC president Rahuvira said.
He said it was unfortunate that Modi was openly backing union minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhar Raje involved in Lalit Modigate and MP chief minister Chowhan responsible forVyapam scam.
TPCC president N Uttam said yesteday was a black day in the history of Indian parliament.
“Sushma Swaraj helps a fugitive Lalit Modi and Vasundhara Raje gets money from his companies. If it is not the corruption, then what is it? Philanthropy!,” Uttam asked. He demanded a high level probe in Vyapam in which Madhya Pradesh chief miniser was involved. By suspending the MPs who just demanded resignation of these people for brazen corrupt practices, Modi had demonstrated how intolerant he was towards democracy, he said.
Today’s program, Uttam said, was only a beginning of Congress’ fight against Modi’s corrupt governance. ” We will intensify the fight,” he added.
