No Chief Minister anywhere in the country ever had a jumbo sized team of 19 Advisors like Jaganmohan Reddy now has in Andhra Pradesh. What more, ten of these advisors are given Cabinet rank. They are getting a monthly salary and other packages to the tune of Rs 4 lakh each. But none of these advisors are seen regularly coming to Secretariat or the departments concerned or the CM Camp Office. These high salaried advisor’s are mostly seen in either the YCP party office or Sakshi media activities.
In a hard-hitting report, the Andhra Jyothi paper says that there are many dark facts behind the Jagan Reddy government’s generosity towards advisors. It says that an adamant and highly opinionated Jagan Reddy never takes or consulate these Advisors for their expert opinions in their respective fields. It is well known how YSR son simply pushes his ideas without any consulting or compromise. All that these advisors can do is to give supporting arguments or create positive mood in favour of Jagan decisions regardless of their legality or otherwise. At the time of media gag order, Jagan media advisors tried only to do damage control in suspicious ways instead of giving proper advice to CM. Andhra Jyoti says that Jagan is using the advisors to do what bureacrats can’t do in order to get things done somehow in their respective fields. Chandrababu had just six advisors initially and their contributions were significant in policy decisions unlike now.
