It is known news that YSRCP leaders tactically made MAA TV to telecast ‘Yatra’ movie on upcoming Sunday, which will be just 4 days before the elections. TDP leader Varla Ramayya moved to the election commission to issue orders to stop the movie telecasting in a TV channel. He complained to AP election commissioner Dwivedi regarding the same.
However, Election commission rejected the petition of TDP leaders and told that telecasting ‘Yatra’ movie in TV channel 4 days before the election doesn’t come under election code violation. So, Yatra movie will be telecast this Sunday on TV channels as planned.
‘Yatra’ movie directed by Mahi, starring Mammootty focuses on padayatra done by Late YSR before 2004 elections. The movie fared reasonably at the box office, especially in Rayalaseema areas.
