The Hyderabad Civil Court issued notice to director Ram Gopal Varma on a writer Jaya Kumar’s plea accusing the maker of the movie God Sex and Truth of plagiarising his script.
The injunction was filed against R Company, RGV and others for infringement of copyright pertaining to God Sex and Truth. Upon hearing the arguments put forth by the counsel of Jaya Kumar, the court ordered “Urgent notice to the Respondents”. The next hearing is posted to 27 February,2018 where in the film maker has to make an appearance in this regard.
The court’s notice came on a plea by Jaya Kumar after Telugu360 exclusively revelation. It may be recalled that Jaya said, “GST is the content from a book cum script I wrote. I sent it to RGV for an opinion or a review and when I saw the trailer, I was shocked because GST is a blind carbon copy of my work right from the first word Mia Malkova uttered till the end of it.”
