Jagan threatened Naidu to take up struggles of unemployed youth

YSR Congress party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy today threatened Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that he would take up struggles of the unemployed youth in the state.

His threatening gained significance as he raised this issue on the day Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), headed by Prof M Kodandaram resorted to direct confrontation with the K Chandrasekhar Rao government in Telangana, by making futile efforts for a `Nirudyogula Nirasana Pradarsana’, violating prohibitoary orders and also after police rejected permission.

The Leader of Opposition in an open letter to the Chief Minister reminded about his popular poll promise during 2014 elections of giving `one job per family’ or to pay honorarium to the unemployed youth. He also demanded him to keep his election-eve promise.

Jagan Mohan Reddy pointed out that though 33 months have elapsed after TDP assumed power, nothing has been done. He said in these 33 months, the TDP Government owes Rs 66,000 to each family at the rate of Rs 2000 per month. He warned of an agitation if the promise is not kept.

He said that he is writing this open letter to remind the government ahead of the budget 2017-18, so that proper allocations could be made. He warned the rising unemployment and disquiet among the youth was not good for any society.

The Leader of Opposition deplored that a large number of people are migrating for jobs. He said in the event of the Government not keeping its promise, the party would announce its future course of action.
