Vetaran bollywood hero Jeetendra finds himself facing allegations of sexual abuse. A woman, who is a close relative of Jeetendra, complained to police that she was sexually assaulted by a famous Bollywood actor Jeetendra in 1971. She claimed that she was abused by him years ago under the pretext of being taken to a film shoot.
At the time of the incident, she was 18 and he was around 28. She went to her close relative Jeetendra’s shooting in Himachal Pradesh. She wrote in complaint, Jeetendra brought me to a hotel room, which contained two separate beds. He mentioned that he was going out and would return later. When he returned room, he smelled strongly of alcohol and sexually assaulted on her. woman said that the incident affected her mental health, and the reason she has come out with it now is because she wanted closure for the trauma she suffered for years after the alleged abuse. She also claimed that another reason why she waited such a long time (more than four decades) to file a complaint against Jeetendra is because her parents — now deceased — would have been heartbroken had they found out that she was sexually abused by their nephew. Victim alleged that she had not complained about the incident also because Jeetendra is a powerful and politically influential person.
Jeetendra‘s lawyer has rubbished the allegation that his client had sexually assaulted his (Jeetendra) cousin 47 years ago in Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh.The alleged sexual abuse case has come at a time when the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal is shaking Hollywood as many eminent Hollywood actresses coming out to speak about their horrific experiences.
