Nandamuri Kalyanram’s Devil teaser raised the bars and kept the expectations high. But the tiff between the director Naveen Medaram and producer Abhishek Nama brought a lot of negative wave on the film. Abhishek Nama replaced the name of the director with his name in the recent posters. Kalyanram decided to stay away from the controversy and he never responded about the incident. The film is now announced for December 29th release and Kalyanram is tightlipped.
He even did not post the new release date posters on his official social media handles. It is unclear if Kalyanram is unhappy with the recent controversy or if he is not happy with the new release date as there would be less time for the film’s theatrical run because of the Sankranthi releases. We have to wait to see if Kalyanram promotes Devil or if he wants to stay away from the project. Devil is a periodic action thriller set during the Independence and Kalyanram played the role of a British Secret Agent.
