Kantara was released last year and turned out to be a visual excellence with the folklore of coastal Karnataka. The film has completed 100 days in theatres, the hero and director of the film Rishab Shetty after celebrating the occasion announced that Kantara will have a prequel and will be released in 2024.
Rishab Shetty said that Kantara part 1 is Part 2 and the upcoming prequel will be part 1 of Kantara. He also said while he was shooting for Kantara I got this idea of a prequel as Kantara had much more depth. The team currently digging up the facts and research is going on. Vijay Kiragandur from Homable production house is promising the prequel in a more massive and grand way than before.
