The BJP members seems to be facing very delicate situation in the winter session of the Telangana assembly. Though the party is having five members, they are failing in `exposing’ government’s failures or pressurising the government on peoples’ issues. They seems to be in dilemma whether they are in opposition or friendly party to the ruling TRS ?

During the visits of party chief Amit Shah, party leaders asserting their commitment to become `alternate force’ in Telangana by 2019 polls. But in the Assembly BJP members hardly sending any signals to people in that direction.

During earlier Congress regime, BJP legislature party leader G. Kishna Reddy was the lone member of BJP, but he used to felt his presence in the house by attempting to corner the government on almost every issue. But this time he is suspected to be turning as `B-team’ of the ruling party.

Ahead of the winter session, Kishan Reddy said his party has identified 23 issues to corner the government and the list was submitted to the speaker in advance, seeking to allot time for discussion. But he hardly tried to corner the government on any issue.

Moreover, BJP members feel embarrassed when he was showering praises on the government, with regard to issues like gangster Nayeem’s encounter and Mission Bhagiratha. The BJP has vertically divided in the assembly. While three members are acting like pro-TRS, the remaining two became indifferent.

Former legislature party leader Dr K Lakshman, who has resigned after elevating as BJP’s state president, is seen indifferent mostly due to his alleged discontent with Kishan Reddy’s behaviour. Another MLA Raja Singh, who is known as a severe critic of the government not encouraged by Kishan Reddy.

BJP circles are accusing that Kishan Reddy is giving opportunity from party side to those who are pro-TRS. Due to his personnel differences with Raja Singh, he simple ignoring his presence in the party.
