Bubbly actress Rakul Preet Singh is over the moon with the response her ‘Bramaramba’ character from ‘Rarandoi Veduka Chudham’ has received. Talking to media, she has opened up on Chaitu, SPYder, on being typecast as glam-doll and more.

“The fact that people remember my character’s name, ‘Bramarambha’, says a lot about how much they like it. I have done a lot of films but Rarandoi Veduka Chudham is quite special for the kind of recognition it brought me as an actress,” Rakul said explaining how satisfied she was as an actress with the film.

Even though she has played a wide range of characters in her quite fruitful career, Rakul is often typecast as a ‘glam-doll’. Ask her whether she is bothered about people giving too much emphasis to her looks than her acting skills, Rakul said, “I would be lying if I say it doesn’t bother me”.

“People will go watch a film and then, they forget about it after sometime. They like it or they don’t. It’s the media which projects you in a certain way. I don’t want to think too much about it and complicate my life. I’m happy as long as I get to do good films,” says Rakul.

When asked about her co-star Naga Chaitanya, Rakul said that there is something that every guy should learn from him. “He is very sweet, there’s nothing starry about him. More than anything, I love the way he respects Samantha. He talks about his love for her with a lot of pride, that’s something every guy should learn from him,” she said.

Talking about her character in Mahesh Babu’s SPYder, an excited Rakul revealed, “I play a medical student in the film. She has a very different take on life. Murugadoss has written an interesting characterization for my role.”

When asked how she manages to juggle between so many films at a time, the ‘Winner’ actress said, “I haven’t had two days off in a row since January this year. I really need some ‘me time’ on Sundays now.”
