`Migrating birds’ found in discontent towards raw deal in TRS

Several `migrating birds’ who were persuaded to join the ruling party TRS assuring many attractive options are now seems to be impatient that nothing was materialising. Moreover they felt `isolation’ in the party with unsure political future. Some of them have already started reviving their contacts with their parent party.

Expecting lucrative opportunities from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s call for `realignment of political forces’ to achieve the dream of `golden Telangana’, as many as 24 MLAs, 3 MPs and many other leaders joined TRS. Now, most of such leaders are found in discontent due to indifferent attitude of the party leadership towards them.

They found it difficult to digest due to lack of `accommodative’ approach towards them at field level by not involving them in regular political activity. Some of them were promised cabinet berths and some key nomination positions, including to their followers. But none of such assurances are materialising, barring few exceptions.

Off late, they found that Chief Minister has been giving priority in nomination position to those who were with TRS since a long time. Even in the agriculture market yard committees also, many aspirants who joined the party in recent times were left out. They were stunned to realize that even such MLAs are finding it difficult to get appointment with the Chief Minister.

A senior leader who joined from Congress deplored that “we were given many assurances before joining TRS, but now no one bothers about us. We don’t know whom we should ask?”. Leave along government nominations, even they are founding it difficult to accommodate some of their followers in the party committees. They were shocked after knowing that in the lists proposed for party committees by ministers and party functionaries none names proposed by them were included. Such disturbing trends are prevailed particularly in erstwhile Rangareddy Warangal and Nalgonda districts.
