2024 was a great season during Diwali for the Telugu audience. Films like KA, Lucky Baskhar and Amaran ended up as blockbusters and 2025 too had a bunch of releases. Four films Mithra Mandali, Telusu Kada, Dude and K Ramp released during this Diwali weekend. It has been a mixed Diwali for Telugu cinema. Mithra Mandali is badly rejected and the film is struggling to register minimum numbers at the box-office. Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Telusu Kada released on Friday and the film failed to register decent openings.

The film received appreciation from a section of class audience and the film had seen a decent rise in the multiplexes. The film is underperforming in B and C centres all over. Telusu Kada will end up as a disappointment considering the financials and the box-office numbers. Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude opened on a grand note and it registered the biggest numbers among the Diwali releases. The film too received mixed response but the box-office numbers are impressive in Telugu and Tamil languages.

Kiran Abbavaram’s K Ramp opened to mixed reports but the film settled well by the evening shows on Saturday. The Sunday collections are decent and the film will end up as a hit considering the theatrical deals. On the whole, none of the released films opened on a blockbuster note. Dude and K Ramp are doing good while Telusu Kada and Mithra Mandali are heading towards disappointments.
