Stylish star Allu Arjun’s Summer release Naa Peru Surya is doing solid biz in Telugu states. But, the buzz in overseas trade circles is very lukewarm. As reported by Telugu360, the Vakkantham Vamsi directional has no takers in overseas though the release date is fast approaching.
The makers are very confident about this patriotic drama and expecting a price in the ratio of 10 Crores for overseas rights alone. However, several factors like the debut director at the helm, the untimely release date, genre of the film etc have turned out to be a liability for the film and resulted in lackluster response from trade circles in overseas.
As they are not getting offers in that range, the producers of Naa Peru Surya decided to take the gamble. They have closed the overseas rights on commission basis. As per the reports, a reputed distributor has come forward to release the film on four crore advance. Trade analysts opine that this is a 100 percent recoverable advance for the distributor and he will get minimum commission in return.
The film is slated to hit the screens on May 4th.
