Telugu actor Allu Arjun has a huge following in other southern states as well even as his upcoming movie ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is set to launch him as a pan-India star.

With a well-established career path, Allu Arjun is one of the most successful heroes from Tollywood.

Starring Rashmika Mandanna as his heroine, Arjun is to play ‘Pushpa Raj’ – a nefarious sandalwood smuggler. But with all the hype around ‘Pushpa – The Rise’, Allu Arjun’s fans are a little worried about his upcoming venture.

It is reported that Allu Arjun is to act under the direction of Telugu filmmaker Boyapati Srinu for his next. The duo had earlier collaborated for the movie ‘Sarrainodu’, which was a mass hit.

But after ‘Sarrainodu’, Boyapati Srinu’s big-budget movie titled ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ with Ram Charan was a big flop and was a setback for the actor as well as the makers.

This was a huge letdown for the makers, as Ram Charan had seen a blockbuster (‘Rangasthalam’) prior to ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’. So, Allu Arjun’s fans are worried if it is a good choice for Allu Arjun to act under Boyapati Srinu’s direction after ‘Pushpa’.

Boyapati Srinu’s upcoming movie ‘Akhanda’ features Nandamuri Balakrishna as the hero.

Pushpa: The Rise Locks The Release Date

After much contemplation, the makers of Pushpa: The Rise have decided to lock the Christmas release slot for the Allu Arjun starrer. They have announced that the film will be releasing in theatres on the 17th of December.

Despite the delay in shoot as a result of Covid second wave, Pushpa: The Rise has stuck to the Christmas release plan. A new poster of the film was also unveiled to publicize the release date.

The filming part is close to completion and the promotions will commence very soon. Pushpa: The Rise will be one of the first pan-India films to hit the silver screens.

The Sukumar directorial is billed to be a full-on action thriller and it has Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. It is locked for Christmas release.

Telugu star Allu Arjun is mighty impressed with actor Sidharth Malhotra after watching his recent Hindi film ‘Shershaah’. Arjun took to his social media to congratulate the actor and the entire team for making the film.

‘Shershaah’ is based on life of Kargil martyr Captain Vikram Batra.

Arjun tweeted to the actors and the team on Wednesday evening.

He wrote: “Congratulations to the entire team of #Shershaah. A very heart touching film. Career best performance by Mr. @SidMalhotra. Man who stole the show. Subtle & impactful performance by Ms @advani_kiara and all the other actors. My respect to all the technicians of the film.”

He also praised director Vishnuvaradhan for his work for the film, which released digitally on Amazon Prime Video.

SS Rajamouli’s next magnum opus RRR released a Friendship song Dosti in five Indian languages and the song was crooned by the top five singers of the respective languages. The makers of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa have similar plans and the first single ‘Daakko Daakko Meka’ will be out on August 13th.
