Samantha is undoubtedly the top actress of South Indian cinema and she has been taking home hefty pay cheques for her work. Samantha’s manager Mahendar Reddy who co-produced several small budget films teamed up with Nara Rohit for a romantic entertainer titled Balakrishnudu. Samantha turned financier for the film and she is said to have lent Rs 3 crores for the film. Pavan Mallela is making his directorial debut with Balakrishnudu and Regina Cassandra is the female lead.
The deal is that Samantha will hold the rights if the amount will be not be re-paid during the film’s release. Balakrishnudu trailer looked promising and the film has been carrying decent expectations. However none of Rohit’s films made decent money and hence Balakrishnudu is not hot in the trade. The movie is all set for November 24th release and we have to wait and see if Samantha can recover her investment or will end up sharing the profits of Balakrishnudu.
