Telangana Government launched two new welfare schemes on Friday. Both the schemes – ‘Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana’ and ‘Revanthanna Ka Sahara’ – are aimed at Muslim Minorities.
While the insiders in Congress Government made statements and social media posts, hailing the launch of two new Minorities welfare schemes, the silent launch of the schemes is raising eyebrows.
Muslim Minorities form a big chunk of the votebase in Telangana. Especially for Congress, Minorities remain a loyal support base. So launch of two new schemes aimed at Muslim Minorities, without the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is quite surprising. Not even Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud was present during the launch of these schemes.
Minister for SC, ST, Minorities Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar launched ‘Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana’ and ‘Revanthanna Ka Sahara’ schemes without much hungama and fanfare at Secretrariat. Normally whenever new welfare schemes are launched, both Government and party runnning the Government, turn it into a grand event. But surpisingly Revanth Reddy Govt went for a silent launch.
According to the SC, ST, Minorities Welfare Ministry, Government provides Rs 50,000 financial assistance to disadvantaged Mulsim women for creating livelihood under ‘Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana’ scheme. Two wheelers (scooties/mopeds) along with Rs 1 lakh financial aid will be provided for elibile poor from Fakir and Dudekula sections under ‘Revanthanna Ka Sahara’ scheme.
